🎙️ Kohen Grogan

Award Winning Tech Entrepreneur and Founder of Yappy Group, Kohen Grogan, began his entrepreneurial journey from humble beginnings as a garage start-up with just $2,000 to his name in 2012.

Fast forward 10 years and Kohen’s business has pivoted from Social ROI (Return on Investment) to taking on the B2B world with an innovative offering unique to Yappy Group. He’s on a mission to turn his business into a Unicorn ($1B USD valuation) by the company’s 17th Birthday – March 29th 2029.

Why? To start a significant philanthropic fund to give back. He’s got a plan, great team, advisors and backers to make it happen. The purpose driven company use social intelligence and big data to give companies a competitive advantage to win more business and are making waves and a lot of success. Yappy Group have won over $250M in business for one client alone.

Over the years his company’s success has won him a lot of attention. At just 28 years of age, he was named a Business News 40under40 winner, has been named a rising Australian Tech Star to watch by Virgin Vouyer inflight magazine and was runner up National Rising Star in the CSC of Australia 30under30 Awards. Two of Kohens idols, Sir Richard Branson of Virgin and Steve Wozniak of Apple, judged his business as being one of the top digital businesses in the APAC region in the Talent Unleashed Awards.

While the young businessman’s achievements are impressive, he measures his success in delivering impact for business and making a difference.

Kohen’s determination to make seemingly impossible things happen is second to none. In the early days of his business, he made it his mission to meet with Sir Richard Branson and pulled it off – a story you simply must hear.

More recently he became the first person to ride a bicycle across the open ocean from Cottesloe Beach in Western Australia to Rottnest Island to raise funds to build a school in remote Cambodia and generate awareness for the global education crisis.

He served on the board of the Classroom of Hope charity, is an advisory board member for the ECU School of Business and Law and served on the board of EO (Entrepreneurs Organization). He’s also the creator of a world first Facebook app named one of five social impact apps changing the world by Business Insider. The app called “Coffees of Hope” which allowed people to brew and buy virtual coffees for their friends through social media with the money raised going directly to educating children in rural Cambodia through the Classroom of Hope charity. Well before NFTs were a thing.

Kohen’s epic entrepreneurial story of his rise from the garage and his passion and plans to give back are inspiring and you’re guaranteed to get takeaways from him.
