About the Panelists:
Andy Ford co-founded Ford & Doonan Air Conditioning at age 19 in 1985.
A couple of young tradies who started their business with $500, grew F&D into WA’s largest air conditioning group, with 12 stores across the metro area and the Southwest, (2 being company and 10 Franchised.) Consolidated revenue now exceeds $70m pa.
Company divisions include retail/domestic, builders direct, FDHVAC commercial and the service department, as well as The Airstore; the groups online e-commerce platform.
As MD, Andy has built the business and managed staff that peaked at 110 people plus a team of 70 in the franchised stores. He has extensive experience in marketing, franchising, and managing growth, along with its many challenges.
Dermot Patterson, Director – International, Direct Healthcare Group
Dermott has extensive experience gained over more than 30 years in developing and implementing strategies for global distribution relating to medical devices and manufacturing processes. Dermott has a track record of strong management performance and consistent contributions to both national and international companies. Additionally, he has extensive management experience in the Renewable & Environment industry.
