Boost your confidence around the numbers side of the business. If you would like to feel more comfortable with accounting jargon and understanding the balance sheet as well as the profit and loss account, join Debbie for this introductory session. Debbie is all about making accounts really easy to understand for those with a non-financial background.
If you have any touch points with the finances within the business, and:

❇️ understanding the balance sheet as well as the profit and loss account,
❇️ understanding what some of the accounting terms actually mean in plain English, and
❇️ therefore, be able to understand the story the accounts are telling you.

About the Speaker
Debbie is known as the “friendly face of face” because she is as much a people person as she is a numbers person. Debbie has developed a reputation for being able to talk about accounts in plain english, and explain accounting concepts so that all of us from a non finance background can understand. She helps business owners and leaders that “don’t do numbers” to build their understanding and confidence around the numbers side of their business, enabling them to make better informed decisions. A Chartered Accountant for ~30 years, experienced Chief Financial Officer in a large WA family business, Telstra Business Women’s Award Finalist, qualified Coach and experienced Company Director.
Debbie Milllard, BA(Hons), CA, GAICD, ACA Principal DHM Coaching & Consulting Debbie Millard is an experienced Business Finance Coach, CFO Consultant and Non-Executive Director specialising in working with SME’s and private businesses. Having spent much of her career in and around founder led, entrepreneurial businesses she knows how to add value to the leaders, teams, and organisations she works with.
Known as the “friendly face of finance”, Debbie loves helping business owners and leaders demystify the finances, make better decisions, empowering them to build resilient and sustainable businesses. She does this through coaching, advisory services and financial literacy workshops. She is a Licensee/Facilitator of the Colour Accounting Learning System and an Adapt By Design Resilient Business Coach partner. As Chief Financial Officer and a member of the executive leadership team of one of WA’s largest family businesses for 15 years, Debbie understands the specific nuances, challenges, and rewards of private business.
Her career journey began in global consulting and accounting firms, complemented by certification as an Executive and Organisational Coach so she brings experience from a diverse array of businesses to her clients. Her non-executive board roles have also honed her skills in governance. A graduate of Oxford University, Chartered Accountant, Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Telstra Business Women’s Award Finalist and Associate Certified Coach.
